零度の領界 - Landscape at zero degree -

三宅島に初めて人が上陸したと伝えられている場所にある鳥居。　Torii at the location have been reported to have landed the first person to Miyakejima.

溶岩が流れた跡。　Trace lava flowed.

雄山中腹のレストハウス。火山ガスが立ちこめている。　Mountain Oyama hillside. Around Rest House.Volcanic gases are hung.

雄山中腹レストハウス付近。遊歩道が噴火により埋まった。　Mountain Oyama hillside. Around Rest House.The eruption buried the promenade.

噴火により立ち枯れた木々の下から生長してきている草。後ろには噴煙が見える。The grass which grows up from under the trees which died by eruption. I see smoke behind.

噴火により寸断された雄山への道。　The road to shredded Mountain Oyama eruption.

噴火により埋まった椎取神社の鳥居。　Torii of Shiitori Shrine is buried by the eruption.

雄山で一番高い場所にある土石流止め。　A mud flood stopper in the place that is the highest in a Mountain Oyama.

三宅島からの夕景。水平線に雷が見える。　An evening landscape from Miyakejima island. Thunder is seen in the horizon.

雄山からの土石流が溜まる場所。　Place mudslides accumulates from Mountain Oyama.

雄山からの火山ガスで立ち枯れている木々。ガードレールも崩れていく。　Trees dying in the volcanic gas from the Mountain Oyama. The guardrail collapses, too.

噴火による火山ガスで立ち枯れた木々。　Dead trees in volcanic gases from the eruption.

火山島という事もあり、三宅島の砂は黒い。　Sometimes it is a volcanic island, Miyakejima island is black sand.

新澪池跡 1983年の水蒸気爆発により新澪池の水は一瞬にして干上がった。　Shinmyouike pond trace.Water by steam explosion in 1983 dried up in an instant.

雄山からの火山ガスが流れてくるため人が住めなくなった。　Because the volcanic gas from Mountain Oyama flowed, a person was not able to live.

三宅島からの眺め。虹が見える。　The view from Miyakejima island. See a rainbow.

1983年の噴火で溶岩に飲み込まれた校舎。　School was engulfed in lava eruption in 1983.

土石流止め付近の木々も立ち枯れている。　The trees are dying around the mudslides prevention.

火山以外にも台風などの自然の驚異もある。台風でなぎ倒された花々。　There is the wonder of nature such as typhoons as well as a volcano, too. Flowers blown down in a typhoon.
